Established in 1981, Lincoln Alternative School is the only magnet elementary school in the Corona-Norco Unified School District. Our 900 students come to us from the communities throughout the school district. Lincoln emphasizes traditional values while promoting high expectations, challenging academics, problem solving, a structured environment, parental involvement and patriotism.
Lincoln Alternative School offers a Classical Reading Program to introduce all students to quality literature. We also have a Memory Challenge Program at every grade level to expose students to public speaking. Both programs build upon our school's high expectations and challenging academics.
Our motto, “Home and School, Hand in Hand” reflects the partnership with our families and the community. Lincoln parents play an important role in the educational process and therefore are expected to be responsible in supporting our programs and policies while also monitoring their child’s academic progress. Parents also assist teachers, help in classrooms as well as do projects around the campus. Our very active PTA and Dads' Club provide numerous programs and activities for our students during the instructional day, after school and in the evenings. Parents select our magnet school because they desire the challenging academics and structured environment for their child.
