  • Thank You PTA!!!

We would like to take this time to recognize and celebrate our amazing PTA. Our PTA volunteers work hundreds of hours to not only improve the educational experience for their students, but to improve the educational experience for all of our cougar cub students. This year at the district’s annual Founders Day Luncheon that celebrates PTA involvement, our PTA “cleaned house” by winning numerous awards and being recognized for their hard work. Our PTA President, Keyra Shaw stated earlier this year that “Our small school will do big things!” and I couldn’t have said it better myself! Our PTA brought home multiple plaques, a beautiful glass trophy and multiple certificates. They were recognized for their efforts during the Red Ribbon week celebration, their booth at the world kindness conference, their involvement in creating a caring environment at Sierra Vista with their community outreach program and their overall increase in PTA memberships and family involvement! I would personally like to thank our PTA board and chair, Keyra Shaw, Erika Cole, Karie Bohrer, Tawny DeBolt, Heather Drinkwater, Toni Goodman, Bobbie Olinger, Stacy Brown, Kelly Miller, Michelle Peregien, and our longest standing member, Patty Kane! All of their hard work shows daily around our school and has a direct effect on how all of our students participate in school. If you are on campus in the coming weeks and see a PTA board member, please extend a thank you to them for their hard work in supporting the continued success of our students! As we head off for summer break in the coming weeks and look forward to next year, we ask that you continue to join and participate in PTA! If you are interested in getting a jump start on your membership for next year, you can pick up a PTA envelope in the front office! Help us continue in having “Our small school to do big things!” Mrs. Clays, Mrs. Weaver, and the entire Sierra Vista Staff

Be sure to save Box Tops this summer so we can get a good start for the 2016-2017 school year. The money will be used for the Accelerated Reading Program which benefits all of the Sierra Vista students.

We are sponsoring a Donuts with Dad, Red Ribbon Week, Family Ice Cream Night, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Shop, Student Store, and Muffins with Mom. This just names a few of the many events and activities your PTA provides for the "Cougar Cubs" at Sierra Vista.
