As part of our Fall Festival we are having a Scarecrow Contest! We encourage all groups (families, classes, teachers, friends, etc...) to have fun creating a scarecrow for our fall festival. Use your imagination and use anything you'd like! Stuff them with straw, tissue, newspaper. Use old clothes, costumes, etc. We ask that you keep them between 2' and 4' tall. (Click for more info.)

Welcome to Todd Elementary School! Toucan

“Welcome to our Magical Brainforest” is the sign you will see as you enter the office at Todd Elementary School.  Located in Sycamore Creek, at the base of the Cleveland National Forest, we have an amazing school community. Dr. Bernice Jameson Todd, our school's namesake, was a physician in the community who generously supported the children in Corona. Our desire at Todd Elementary School is to also give back to the community and world, just like Dr. Todd.

We are fortunate to have a school with state of the art technology. Students have responders which provide immediate feedback to themselves as well as teachers. Mimio devices allow our white boards to become interactive, with students as well as staff having the ability to move words, numbers, pictures (and anything else), around on the white board.

We currently have 28 classroom teachers, TK-6th, 2 resource teachers, a school psychologist, 2 speech teachers and a STEPS program instructional assistant. We have about 850 fabulous students attending Todd and are growing consistently.

Our “Toucan Traits” (respect, responsibility, etc.) are a big part of our school. Each day, announcements are shown through a live video feed in every classroom, where toucan traits and daily activities are announced.

We are also so fortunate to have an amazing PTA which provides incredible assemblies at our school, family nights, field trips and many other wonderful programs and supplies to support our school.

At Todd, we are excited to have the 100 Mile Club, where students in first through sixth grade have the opportunity to run 100 miles each year (or more) and earn a medal, bracelet, special pencil and special card.

Several after school clubs are offered for Todd students including Chess Club, Theater, Mad Science, and Kiwanis for Kids to name a few.  In addition, our school has an environmental focus, where students recycle just about everything! Students learn about protecting our environment as well as learning about endangered species.

We are absolutely thrilled with our school and invite you to visit our "Magical Brainforest"!!!
