• Student Expectations

    RHIS green
       River Heights students are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner that will bring credit to themselves, their family, the community and the school.  It is important for students to understand that they are responsible for appropriate school behavior during school hours, coming to and from school, and at all school functions.
    General Rules
    1. Follow the directions of all school personnel.
    2. No gum chewing at school.
    3. Running, yelling, or whistling in the halls is not permitted.
    4. Skateboards, scooters, radios, pagers, cell phones, i-Pods, cameras, tape players, toys, electronic devices or other valuable items are not permitted.
    5. Swearing and/or rude gestures are not permitted.
    6. Teasing and/or put downs are not permitted.
    7. Fighting, harassing, horseplay, hazing, threatening, or intimidating others are not permitted.
    8. Tobacco, alcohol, and controlled substances are not permitted.
    9. Knives and dangerous objects are not allowed on campus.
    10. Students must observe the school dress code at all times while on campus and on field trips.
    11. Students must care for school property and respect the personal property of others.
    12. Students may not bring lighters or matches to school.
    13. Students are not permitted to have markers.
    14. Graffiti or gang writing is not allowed anywhere including book covers and notebooks.
    15. Students must be on time to class.
    16. Forgery is not permitted and is a violation of our ethics policy.
    17. Poppers, smoke bombs, stink bombs are not permitted.
    18. Spitting is not permitted.
    19. Theft is not permitted.
    20. Excessive amounts of money brought to school are not appropriate.
