Santa's Workshop provides your child with the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for family members. Please send cash with your child on this day if you would like them to participate. Fliers went home last week in the Communication Folders.
Bring your entire family (in pajamas and slippers) to our Multi-Purpose Room (7:00 - 10:00 am) to enjoy breakfast with Santa. This is a FREE event! First graders are encouraged to donate plastic utensils, cups, napkins, or paper plates by December 13th. Also, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to contribute to our toy drive.
We will be having a gift exchange during our holiday party. Please plan on purchasing 28 small gifts (i.e. pencils, erasers, stickers, small toys, etc) for your child to pass out to their classmates. In return, your child will be receiving 28 small gifts from their peers. We need parents to either donate their time, donate food items, or donate supplies. Please see bright green flier for more details.
Foothill Elementary has several students with moderate to severe food allergies. Effective immediately, treats will not be allowed to be brought to school for birthday celebrations. If you wish to bring something to share with the class to celebrate your child's birthday, please consider non-food items such as pencils, stickers, or small toys. Also, if you donate a book to our library, your child's birthday will be announced during the morning announcements! A book plate will be placed inside the book as well, letting everyone know who donated that book!
Students have the opportunity to run before school, during lunch recess, and during P.E. to reach their goal of 100 miles over the entire school year. Last year, almost every student in Mrs. Raynes' class reached at least 25 miles and earned their 100-Mile t-shirt. Several completed their 100 miles and earned their medals. Your child can, too! It only costs $10 to join.
Foothill is having a school-wide competition to see which class can get the most PTA memberships! Please register yourself and your child (and other family members, friends, neighbors, etc.). Memberships cost $7.00 each, and your child's membership allows them to participate in special events. Attending the meetings is not required, but you are welcome to attend if you wish. Please help our class win!
