TransitionsThe Transitions program at Kennedy is for special needs students who have completed the curriculum at the high school level and are preparing for life outside of school. Students in this program are between the ages of 18-22, and the goal of transitions is to help students establish the skills to live as independently as possible as adults. Currently, there are four transitions classes at Kennedy. In this program, students have a blended curriculum of hands-on work in the community and classroom instruction. Classes are small enough that each student's individual needs can be addressed, allowing them to make the "transition" from student to a contributing member of the community.
