I was born in Canberra, Australia but I grew up in Placentia and Yorba Linda. I attended Esperanza High School in Anaheim and after graduating I went to California State University, Fullerton and received a BA in anthropology and my elementary teaching credential. In addition to my BA from CSUF, I also have a Masters Degree from Chapman University in Curriculum and Instruction.
My teaching career began in 1996 at Vicentia Elementary where I taught first grade for 9 years. I began teaching at Rosa Parks when it opened in 2007 and have been teaching kindergarten here since 2008.
I have an awesome husband and two fantastic kids (my son is in eighth grade at Ramirez and my daughter is in fifth grade). We moved to Eastvale from Corona and enjoy being part of this community. If you see us at one of the parks or at the store, please stop and say, “Hi.”
Teaching is an unbelievably rewarding experience for me and as an Eastvale resident it is one way for me to give back to our community. Please know that it is my privilege to spend time with each and every young person that comes into my classroom and it’s my goal to give them the best kinder education possible.
Here’s to an awesome year!
