• About The Teacher

I was born in Michigan and moved to Corona in 1977 at the age of 9. I am proud to say I am a long time
Corona resident. I attended our local schools; Coronita Elementary, Raney Jr. and Corona High. I have
seen Corona grow and change over the years. This is my 20th year teaching at Lincoln. I love it! Over
the years I have taught both 3rd & 4th grades. My husband and I have been married for 26 yrs.
We have two boys Derek 24 and Shane 22. Derek graduated from San Diego State University and
is now an Officer in the United States Air Force. He is in pilot training at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
Shane graduated from California Maritime Academy, and recently started his career in the Port of Long
Beach as a Terminal Operations Manager for TraPac. Both our boys attended Lincoln K-6th. I was blessed
to be able to work at the elementary school they attended. When I am not working you will find me relaxing
with a good book, spending time with family & friends, or running the streets of Corona. Running is my passion,
I have completed 17 half marathons, 2 full marathons, a sprint triathlon, and several Ragnar relays.
    Mission For The Class
My mission is to help each child develop a sense of success within themselves. I want to instill my love of
learning into my students. I want my students to know that I have their best interest at heart. I believe in
every child that comes into my class. My goal is to teach my students skills that will help them become life
long learners. I want to challenge each child individually so they will strengthen their minds and continue to
set their goals higher and higher. I take it as my job to look at the future, and build bridges of ideas, strategies,
and plans so others who believe in that future will choose to cross it. I promise you every day your children will
learn something. Some days they'll bring it home in their hands. Some days they'll bring it home in their heads.
And some days they'll bring it home in their hearts.
