•  Our Classroom Rules:
Our classroom rules are pretty basic, if we focus on being kind and respectful everything will be just grand.

    1. Make Good Choices
    2. Respect Others, Respect Yourself, Respect Our School
    3. Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Honest
    4. Follow Directions Quickly
    5. Listen when Someone is Speaking
Our class will be using Class Dojo for electronic behavior notifications and class reminders. I also use school mass email, please be sure your email is kept current in the office.
    Homework Policy
I strongly believe in the power of play and the importance of letting children be children. Further,  research does not indicate significant benefits of homework at the elementary level. I believe that when students give me their all during the day, they can focus on family and extra curricular activities in the evening. Therefore, I have eliminated the majority of nightly homework assignments. We will continue to have nightly reading, book shares, and projects. Eat dinner as a family and ask them how their day was, enjoy your child’s extracurricular activities without worrying about homework, and know that your child is working hard at school.
I highly encourage you to read a book of choice with your child each evening, talk about what is read and practice math facts.
    Please Note:
If a student exhibits off-task behaviors during the school day and fails to complete an assignment, the assignment will be sent home for completion and due the following day.
I  encourage you to contact me if/when the need arises, and to stay in the know about your child’s studies, assignments, assessments, and school activities, as well as other events and happenings. If you do not have a login/password for parent connect, please contact the front office. The office staff will be able to help you.
