Although each year varies, we often hold regular assemblies to convey important information to our students or to celebrate a joyous event. Please refer to the school calendar for all confirmed events for detailed information.

 

  Student of the Month
Grades: 7th and 8th

When: Occurs monthly and is held during 7th period

What: Teachers recognize one student for their noticeable achievement or overwhelming growth to come celebrate with the administrative team, ASB students, and their peers with a toast, cake, award, and Student-of-the-Month bumper sticker.

  Trimester Awards
Grades: 7th and 8th

When: End of Trimesters 1 and 2 (7th grade during 1st period; 8th grade during 7th period)

What: Awards for top grades and citizenship are acknowledged by the administrative team, along with a certificate to those who meet the minimum requirements.

7th Grade Activities
Grade: 7th

When: End of Trimesters 1 and 2

What: Students who meet the set critieria (grades, attendance, discipline) are invited to attend a day of celebration with their class.

Grades: 7th and 8th

When: November/December

What: The Riverside District Attorney and School Resource Officer present an overview of the laws and how they pertain to middle school students. Such topics include (but not limited to) theft, bullying, harrassment, and technology-related crimes.

Grade: 8th

When: Norco High School will be visiting Science classes in February. 

What: High School counselors visit Norco Intermediate students to review the registration process and guide students with important class choices.

Grade: 8th

When: Awards Night will be held on May 28, 2013 at 6:30 P.M.; Promotion will be held on May 30, 2013 at 2 P.M.

What: Similar to 12th grade graduation, all CNUSD intermediate schools provide an annual celebration to formally promote 8th graders as they exit the intermediate school and enter high school.
