Morning Schedule - 7:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.7:45 - 8:00 Arrival/Planning Students put away their backpacks, and select a center in which to participate.8:00 - 9:00 Center Time Center time includes working on specific IEP goals with the speech and languagepathologist (SLP), teacher and instructional assistants. Examples of activities we doduring this time include art projects, play dough, finding things in the bean table, andpretending to be a doctor. Fun!!9:00 - 9:15 Recess Children practice gross motor skills - running, jumping, riding the tricycles, playing onthe swings, and climbing on the jungle gym.9:15 - 9:30 Small Group Here, we complete "table top" activities. For example, we practice writing ournames, coloring, lacing, and drawing.9:30 - 9:45 Snack Time This is a great time to practice on social skills, such as using language to ask forhelp, practice using good manners and fostering independence.9:45 - 10:15 Circle Time This is a large group activity.
