• Morning Schedule - 7:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
     
    7:45 - 8:00      Arrival/Planning      Students put away their backpacks, and select a center in which to participate.
     
    8:00 - 9:00      Center Time       Center time includes working on specific IEP goals with the speech and language
                                                 pathologist (SLP), teacher and instructional assistants.  Examples of activities we do
                                                 during this time include art projects, play dough, finding things in the bean table, and
                                                 pretending to be a doctor.  Fun!!
     
    9:00 - 9:15      Recess              Children practice gross motor skills - running, jumping, riding the tricycles, playing on
                                                 the swings, and climbing on the jungle gym.
     
    9:15 - 9:30      Small Group         Here, we complete "table top" activities.  For example, we practice writing our
                                                   names, coloring, lacing, and drawing.
     
    9:30 - 9:45      Snack Time         This is a great time to practice on social skills, such as using language to ask for
                                                  help, practice using good manners and fostering independence.
     
    9:45 - 10:15   Circle Time           This is a large group activity.  We sing songs, count the days on the calendar, check the
                                                    weather, and read a story.
     
    *The schedule in the afternoon differs slightly, but the activities are the same.
