    It'sthat time of the year again for our annual district science fair. I will giveyou a brief overview of the science fair rules, guidelines and dates, and youcan access any further information you need through our district website, andthrough the Orange Elementary website by clicking onto Elizabeth Yendes, thenclicking onto the Science Fair link. The 2012winner was awarded a $25,000 prize for his project! The winner was 14 yearsold!

    Our Science Fair here atOrange Elementary School:

    When: Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 send all projectsto the MPR by 10:00 am for judging

    Where: MPR on lunch tables

    Parent Viewing Time: Wednesday, January 23,2013- 2:30-4:40

    Winners Announced: Thursday, January 24th,during morning announcements

    Classroom Viewing Time: Thursday, January 24th,2013- from 8:00am -10:00am

    Rules: 5 winners to go to the district; ALL projects must have research NOTEBOOKS attached to the projectsor they cannot go on to the district level. Please get all projects approvedbefore beginning by your teacher.  Seethe district guidelines for excluded topics.

     

    • TheCNUSD Science Fair will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in LearningCenter South with judging to take place during the school day. Winning projectsfrom the school sites will be brought by the students for set up and assembly on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.The Learning Center South will beopen from 5:00 to 8:00 PM for thepurpose of this set up.

     

    • The Awards Ceremony for the CNUSD Science Fairwill be held in Learning Center North from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on February 14, 2013, directly after the CNUSDScience fair. Learning Center South will be open for public viewing of thescience projects from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Theaward ceremony for elementary students will be from 6:00 to 6:40; theintermediate awards ceremony will be from 6:45 to 7:25 and high school awardswill be given from 7:30 to 8:15.

     

    • As theschool entries are due to Don Ward’s office by January 29, 2013. The schoolscience fairs will need to be held in time to get your entries into the FairCoordinators.
