Hello! My name is Lisa Cypher, and I've been a teacher in the Corona-Norco USD for 19 years. I taught kindergarten for the first ten years. My next two years were spent teaching second grade, and now I am back in Kinder for my seventh year. I've taught at Corona Ranch since it's opening in 2002.
La Verne is where I grew up. In 1995, I graduated from San Dimas High School. During the next four years, I played division one water polo on an athletic scholarship. In addition to playing water polo, I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and my multiple subject teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. In addition to having my teacher credential, I also have a Masters of Science in Education that I earned through Walden University.
I've been married to my husband, Eric, for 16 years. He is also a teacher at Los Osos High School, Rancho Cucamonga. We were blessed with our son, Gavin, in November of 2008. We were blessed with a daughter, Emily, in January of 2011.
When I am not teaching, my family and I love to get away to the river, the beach, and of course Disneyland. I read often and enjoy spending time with my family.
Thinks I Enjoy:
Starbucks (But, I don't drink coffee; I drink Chai Tea Lattes)
Jamba Juice (All Fruit Smoothies)
Office Supplies (Post-it notes, small note pads, stickers, pens, etc...)
Children's Books (If your child has a favorite book to read I love hearing about it)
