Dr. Al Banks is the Aerospace Science Instructor and department co-chair for Santiago High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) unit CA-20065, Corona, CA.
Dr. Banks is an expatriate of Brighton, Alabama and graduate of Brighton High School where he received the John L. Jefferson Award for Honor. He was also the varsity football team's quarterback. Dr. Banks holds an Associate's Degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Munitions Systems Technology, A Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist University in Corporate Training and Development, a double Masters degree from Webster University in Computer Resources and Information Management and Human Resources Management and a doctoral degree from the University of Redlands in Leadership and Education Justice.
Upon the completion of Air Force Basic Military Training, Dr. Banks attended technical training at Lowry AFB, CO.

Sembach Air Base, Germany
Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX where he became a Military Training Instructor and retired from the United States Air Force as the Superintendent , Base Honor Guard.
In 2002, Dr. Banks began his second career as a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Instructor at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston, Texas.
In 2006, Dr. Banks arrived in Corona, CA to start up a new unit at Santiago High School, CA-20065.
