Ms. Buu

Hello!  Welcome to Transistional Kindergarten with me, Ms. Buu.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I've been teaching for 17 years, 12 of those with CNUSD.  I've taught 3rd-6th grade but predominantly in 5th grade.  For the last three years, I've been singing and dancing in the TK world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I'm one of those lucky people who can genuinely say that I love, Love, LOVE what I do.  I wake up excited to see what the day has in store for me because there's never a dull moment in a class full of little kids!

On a personal note:

I have an 18 year-old daughter, Nini, who is a Freshman at UC Irvine.  She can't wait to get away from Corona and be on her own, and I can't wait to see how she does navigating the college world without her mommy.

Aside from teaching, my hobbies are traveling the world and backpacking the best trails with my fiance, gardening, and reading. Each year, I aspire to visit a location that I have never been to before.  I've stepped foot on six continents.  Antartica is still on my To Visit list.  During each off-track time, I challenge myself to engage in an activity, mainly physically, that is new to me.

I'm addicted to reading and have to ban myself from reading novels during on-track months because I cannot put a good book down.  My favorite genres are historical fiction, autobiography/biography, fantasy, and books on subjects that deal with the brain, history, science, and education.
