I am starting my 18th year in education.  I began my career as a special education teacher, and later taught French for five years, prior to becoming an administrator.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCLA and my Master's degree in Special Education from National University.

My objective at ERHS is to serve the community by doing my part to ensure that our students graduate ready for their chosen next step, whether that is college, the military, or directly in the workforce.  I believe that the study of world languages and cultures is a key part of preparing students to be global citizens.  As a first generation immigrant and English language learner myself, I credit my former teachers with giving me the tools and guidance I needed to discover my life's purpose through education.  As a result, I am thrilled to work with the PUENTE team and the World Language department on our quest to provide students with the skills and support they need to reach their post-secondary goals.

I am proud to have been a member of the CNUSD community for 17 years, not only as an educator, but also as a parent.  My husband and I are the proud parents of two college students, who owe their success to a long list of dedicated CNUSD K-12 teachers.  I am very pleased to continue to provide current students and parents with the support my family and I received from CNUSD throughout my daughters' growing years.  #CNUSDFutureReady
