Degrees and Certifications:
I am very excited to be returning to 6th grade at Foothill and my 14th year of teaching overall. I spent my first 6 years of teaching at Eisenhower and have spent the last 7 years at Foothill Elementary School. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, as well as serving as a Teacher on Special Assignment here at Foothiil. I love teaching and working with kids. My wife is also a teacher at Foothill now teaching 3rd grade. My wife and I have been married for 15 years and have two wonderful children (Mikayla 10 and Cade 5). Mikayla attends school at Garretson in the Dual Immersion program in 5th grade and Cade is in kindergarten here at Foothill.
I grew up in Fontana, where I graduated from Fontana High School. I did my Bachelor of Arts degree at Cal State San Bernardino, then continued on to finish my Masters degree at Cal State Fullerton. After that, I did my teaching credential at National University.
I love sports and am very excited for football season to start. I am a Steelers fan, Angels fan, Lakers fan and a UCLA fan. I love to spend time with my family traveling, watching movies or hanging out in our backyard in the pool. I have a 1967 mustang that my dad and I restored and I love going to car shows. I enjoy going out to dinner at BJ's, Miguel's, Chipotle, and Buffalo Wild Wings. You will also notice that every morning I have coffee and love to get Starbucks. I can't wait for the school year to start and am very excited for all of the wonderful things we are going to learn this year.
