How are assigned Saturday Schools earned?

    • Failure to serve a detention (from a tardy or issued by a teacher for defiance or disruption)
    • Truancy
    • Discipline issued by an administrator
    • Excessive absences or tardies

Where is Discipline Saturday School? Students must report to the Cafeteria promptly at 8:00am or 10:15am to receive credit.

How long is it? If students are only making up detentions, they may choose to serve in 2-hour increments based on how much time they owe. Students who are attending for too many absences, truancy, or for a Saturday School assigned by an AP for discipline must attend all 4 hours.
    • Block 1 - 8:00am to 10:00am
    • Block 2 - 10:15am to 12:15pm

Can a student serve 2 hours of Discipline and then go to Academic Saturday School? Yes! Transitions to any room can be made at the 15-minute break at 10:00am.

What if I go to Academic Saturday School instead of Discipline Saturday School? Students must attend Discipline Saturday School when making up a detention issued by a staff member or if an AP assigned Saturday School for behavior issues. All attendance issues may be served in Academic or Discipline Saturday School. Should a student make a mistake and attend the Academic without permission, their time will not be counted and will end up on the No-Go List. If you feel you have a unique situation, please notify any administrator.

What if students don't serve Discipline Saturday School? Students are placed on the No-Go List until it is served. If students appear on the No-Go List for too long, their AP is notified.
