The Child Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law that was enacted in 2000, which requires school district to implement internet-safety policies and educate minors about appropriate online behavior. Corona-Norco Unified School District has teamed up with Common Sense Media to provide lessons and quizzes that teach students about the safety, internet etiquette, and dangers lurking on the internet. Students who complete the three days of lessons and pass the test with a C or better will earn more access to the school district's wifi from their personal devices.
