    1. UNDERSTANDING THE BILL OF RIGHTS--MATRIX

    Get pictures A - J from the assignment box.  Decide which pictures best describes each of the ten amendments of the Bill of Rights.  Complete  matrix according to directions at the top of the paper.  Choose each amendment only once.

     

     

    1. BILL OF RIGHTS PANTOMIME

           In groups of three students will create a pantomime skit depicting one of the amendments in the Bill of

           Rights.  Each group will then act out their pantomime in front of the class.  The rest of the students will

           write out their guesses on which amendments are being depicted and the reasons for their guesses.

           IF ABSENT—Summarize/explain each amendment using rhyming words at the end of each sentence.

          

    1. OUR CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY—INFLUENCES, IDEAS-- Complete Graphic Organizer using information from textbook. On the last level you will draw a picture or symbol that demonstrates how document or idea affected the common person.     1. INFLUENCE OF “THE VIRGINIA STATUTE FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM”

    Copy the part of the First Amendment that deals with freedom of religion.  Then, after reading “The Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom” on pg. R42 in your textbook, explain in bullet points and simple language the meaning of the 1st amendment in regards to freedom of religion.  Include a minimum of five bullet points.
