GATE: Jefferson Elementary
- Once or twice a trimester after school, students will participate in coding/programming. This will be done using Ozobots (small programmable robots that you train to follow patterns on the surfaces that they roll over.)
- Students will also be paired with a Corona High STEM/STEAM student where they will mentor our GATE students while participating in STEM activities. They will meet with their high school partner 1-2 times a trimester.
- GATE students will have an opportunity to have an active role in our Jaguar news (weekly digital school news presented to all classrooms to watch through a YouTube link.) Students roles may include presenting in front of the camera, researching colleges to be presented, writing part of the script to be presented, or taking part in the technology side of the production.
If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact the principal, Mr. Alex Vasquez
