    Homework News!

Students are required to complete a minimum of 45 minutes of lessons on I-Ready.  The 45 minutes must be completed in Math and Reading for a total of 90 minutes.  This is the recommended amount of time to obtain growth for your child using this program.  The total minutes are due at the end of each week.

Are you reading your library book every night?

I do not require my students to reach 100% of their A.R. goal. It is up to you to read more than the assigned nightly homework in order to reach 100%.  However, each student is required to read 20 to 30 minutes of their A.R. book nightly for homework.  Every student should take one or more A.R. tests a week and pass the test with 80% and above.

You are allowed to have up to two books checked out from our library at a time.  Most chapter books can be completed in one school week (5 days) or less.  Since our class library day is Monday, this would be the best time to take A.R. tests and check out 2 new books for the week. This will be your proof of nightly reading which will affect your effort grade in reading and your homework grade.

    Congratulations to the following students!
