• Discovery Education Student Center
Every CNUSD student has an account to Discovery Education at cnusd.discoveryeducation.com  (Grades 3-12; K-2 see below)
Students can go to http://my.cnusd.k12.ca.us (from home) to first authenticate their SSO credentials; provided they have logged onto a school computer first and changed/updated their password. Then if they select cnusd.discoveryeducation.com they will go directly into the site. (Video tutorial)

Student’s grades 3-12 will use their student ID#, PROVIDED they have logged into the computer with their student ID# and did NOT use the schools generic mascot username. See student login FAQ’s

Outside the district network, students usernames will be <studentID#>@cnusd.k12.ca.us and their current password from school to access Discovery from home.

Students K-2 will still use DiscoveryEducation.com with the same generic credentials cnusd<student ID#> and the password Cnusd123.

NOTE: You must first authenticate your account by logging on to a school computer before Student Connect, Discovery Education, Moodle Schoolwires, will recognize your login from home.

Passwords expire every 6 months. Must reset on a school computer by selecting Ctrl-Alt-Delete, change password on school network.
Contact the computer lab teacher, librarian, or school official that distributes computer logon account information for your school site. ***Grades 3-6 see your teacher who has access to reset student passwords.

User Name = Student ID #. Passwords are first/last name initials and birth date (drop leading zeroes). For example: John Smith 07/04/1998 = Js741998.
NOTE: some upper grades may still be under the old lower-case convention: if above doesn't work try lower case, but re-set will require a capital letter.

When creating new passwords, it must be at least 8 characters, have a capital letter and a number, the new password cannot contain your name, ID #, or be too similar to your previous passwords.

To many failed attempts (10) at logging into school computer will result in your account being locked, after 15 minutes users may try to log back in again.
There are search filters according to school levels.
