Once in college, a mallet player was already enlisted, so I was asked to play all other percussion from then on throughout the rest of my college career which included the

While in college, being a music major, I was trained to play all other wind and brass instruments which includes flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor sax, bari sax, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, and tuba. Included in this mesh of concert band instruments were some less familiar instruments, such as the bassoon and oboe.

and also as a music major, you must practice your main instrument. At UCR they didn't have the equipment to teach percussion on a one-on-one basis, so I was then taught to play the drum set.
