Ask Not

What your child has for homework.

Ask Instead

To see his/her planner

In every subject students are required to write each days assignments and/or homework in their planners.  The best way to check homework is to begin by taking a look at the planner.  If assignments and homework are not written daily, something is wrong (especially in my class).

You may also check assignments by clicking on the calendar of any teacher's web page.

Grades can be checked by clicking the following link to the parent portal.
(Passwords and PINS were sent home with students. If you need help with any of this you may call our school office 951-736-3231.)

The Lost Art of Studying

It is important to remember that working with the subject matter in class and simply doing homework is not enough for students to be truly successful.  Students must study!   This means reviewing homework after it is completed as well as the material covered in class.

Have your child teach you!
Research shows that students who can explain the subject matter to someone else will achieve mastery of the content and will excel when tested.  Don't just look to see if the paper is complete have your child give you a detailed explaination of the work. This may take some extra time, but will make a great difference in performance and grades.

Together we can make a difference!
YES WE CAN
