  • "Engineering for Kids" Summer Camp

    Norco College will be hosting the 1st Annual Engineering for Kids Summer Engineering Camp. The goal of the camp is to bring hands on learning experiences to kids and help bridge the gap between concepts learned in the classroom and how they apply in real life situations. Each camp will take place Monday-Thursday for one week during the summer months. Participants may register for more than one camp. Parents are welcomed to visit https://engineeringforkids.com/iewest/camps or attend a Summer Camp Open House from 5:30 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 28, at the Norco College STEM Center Room 201, 2001 Third Street, Norco, CA 92860.   • CFIS Families Helping Families

    PTSA is organizing a donation drive to help families (including one of our own) at our local rescue mission. If you would like to help, we’ve broken down some of the items by tracks and/or grades. AIB 7&8: Formula (Enfamil Ready-to-use). Track B7-B8: Diapers size 2 & up. Track C7: Baby Wipes C8: Baby Shampoo & Conditioner, Lotions. Our donation drive will start May 18 and continue until May 27. Students can turn in donations to their 1st period class. We will also accept the following snack items for donation: Fruit snacks, fruit cups, gold fish crackers, regular crackers, granola bars, and apple sauce. The Track and Grade with the most donations will win extended lunch!

  • Sandy Denkers Community Service Award

    Attention all 8th graders!! There is a new Community Service Award available for YOU. The Sandy Denkers Community Service Award will be given to one current 8th grade CFIS student in the form of a $100 Savings Bond at the 8th grade awards ceremony on June 17th 2015. Any current 8th grader with volunteer or community service during intermediate school is eligible to apply. Two teacher recommendations with a written response about volunteering or community service performed during intermediate school will be required. Grades will be considered but are not going to be held against any student. The deadline to submit is June 4th 2015. CLICK ON THE HEADLINE TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION.   • PTSA Needs You!

    CFIS PTSA still needs you! We are looking to fill one remaining position on the Executive Board: VP of Ways and Means. Additionally, we have several non-elected positions still needing to be filled: Historian, Parliamentarian, Communications Director, and Reflections-- most of which require little time or previous experience.   • New Recycling / Fundraising Program at CFIS

    Donate your recyclables and our school will earn $$$ MONEY $$$. Drop off "CRV" (aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles, etc.) as well as other recyclables at our new recycling bin located on Olive St. near the basketball courts.
