Meet Mrs. Muro
I was born and raised in Whittier, California. I have 3 older sisters. I graduated from Whittier Christian High School. For college I attended CSU Fullerton, earning my BA in Liberal Studies and my teaching credential. From there I continued on to earn my Master’s Degree in Education from the University of New England.
My husband and I have been married for 17 years and we have three sons. We have lived in Norco for twelve years now and absolutely love it! I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church, horseback riding, reading, camping, baking, gardening, swimming, roller skating, and eating anything I don’t have to cook! I have 7 pets: 2 horses(Arabian and Appaloosa), 3 cats, and 2 chickens.
I love my career and have been teaching for 22 years now. 4th grade is my favorite grade to teach so far, but I have taught 2nd grade also. My favorite subjects to teach are reading, math, and music.
My future plans include teaching at VanderMolen for another 20 years or so, going on a cruise for the first time, watching my boys grow up, going on dates with my husband, playing the flute again, quilting, line dancing, and volunteering.
