Virtues Program
 
A Character Education Program

The school has a character education program called Virtues.  There are three school-wide Virtue words and each grade level has their own Virtue word to focus on in conjuction with the school-wide words to focus on throughout the school year. 
 
School Virtue Words:        Respect, Honor, Effort
 
Kindergarten:                     Honesty
 
Grade 1:                               Friendship
Grade 2:                               Responsibility
Grade 3:                               Self-Discipline
  
Grade 4:                               Compassion
Grade 5:                               Courage
Grade 6:                               Perseverance
 

The first Wednesday of each month, as well as other days, each class focuses on their or the school's Virtue words.  The goal is to thoroughly teach children the meaning of each word and how to best demonstrate it.

Each month, one student from each class, is awarded the Terrific Kid Virtues award for their clear demonstration of their grade level's Virtue word.
