California Junior Scholastic Federation Membership

California Junior Scholastic Federation is an academic based club with an emphasis on giving to the community.

  1. To qualify for CJSF membership this trimester, you must have earned a minimum of 8 points.
  2. No points will be awarded for PE, Exploratory or Academic Support, but a grade of D or F or an N or U in behavior in any class will disqualify you from joining.
  3. STAR placement for behavior reasons will also disqualify you from joining.
  4. CJSF points are as follows:

A = 3 points    B = 1 point (Honors class earns 2 points)

            C = 0 points    Below C Not eligible for CJSF

Note:  Plusses and minuses will not be used for calculation, therefore a B- is still a B, a C+ is still a C and so forth.

  1. Remember, trimester membership is based on work done in the previous trimester. You must reapply EACH trimester.
  2. When you become a member you will need to complete 10 community service hours sometime during the year you are a member.

(Be sure to write down all community service that you do, from now until the end of high school.  You will need to put that information down on college applications.)

7.   There is a fee to become a member. Cost at this time is $5.00 per trimester.
