Mathematics

The Math Department at JFK Middle College is determined to enable all of our students to be successful and prepared for the next level in their Math education.  Math is a sequential curriculum where skills and concepts build and expand from a basic set of fundamentals to more abstract thinking and problem solving.  In order for students to be able to think more critically and at higher levels, they must know the basics and be able to apply them on a consistent and proficient level.

JFK Middle College Math Department offers the following courses:

Geometry
Algebra 2
Probability and Statistics
Trigonometry
Pre-Calculus
Calculus

In addition to the above courses, many JFK Middle College students take Mathematics Courses at Norco College to fulfill additional graduation and A-G requirements.

In order to take Math classes at Norco College, JFK Middle College students must either provide them a prerequisite verification form, or take the Accuplacer Exam.  For those students who have finished Algebra 2 both semesters at Kennedy with an A or B, please follow the steps outlined here:  After Algebra 2 at Kennedy...

For a review sheet for the Accuplacer, click here: Accuplacer Sample Questions.  Please do not take this test without thorough study.
