Our GATE staff understand this and strive to meet the needs of each gifted child through implementation of the core GATE tenets of Novelty, Depth, Complexity, and Acceleration.

Garretson houses a self-contained GATE program from 3rd grade through 6th grade. Our program provides an enriching, high-level program for all gifted learners.  Education is rich and exciting and incorporates many engaging activities.
The teachers adhere to a deep level of education utilizing Depth and Complexity, Acceleration and Novelty to meet the needs of all students in the program.

Depth refers to the concept of challenging learners by enabling them to dig deeper, venture further and more elaborately into a current area of study. Complexity refers to the concept of broadening the learners understanding of an area of study by making relationships and associations between and across subjects and disciplines.
