The 2012 Relay for Life Cancer Walk will take place at Santana Park May 19-20th, Sat-Sun. The El Cerrito team is sponsered by ECMS NJHS but all are welcome to come out walk, and show your support!
8th Grade Awards Night will be Thursday, May 24th, and will begin at 6:30 pm. Students recieving awards will be notified by invitation.
The El Cerrito 8th Grade Celebration will be Wednesday, May30th, from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. on the El Cerrito campus. Obligations and GPA requirements must be met to attend.
El Cerrito 8th Grade Promotion will take place at Centennial High School, Thursday, May 31st, 2012. The promotion ceremony will be held on the football field and will begin promptly @ 2:15 pm. Students must report to the Centennial Gym no later than 1:30 pm.
Congratulations to Mr. Steven Case for being chosen by his fellow staff members as the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year! Mr. Case is an astounding 8th American History Teacher as well the Advisor for El Cerrito ASB, and Co-Advisor for El Cerrito's National Junior Honor Society.

Road construction on El Cerrito Road is scheduled to begin in December 2011. It will require the closure of lanes on El Cerrito Road from the 15 freeway to Temescal Canyon Road. Parking or stopping on the street may not be available. Traffic in front of the school, as well as the student drop-off and pick-up will also be affected. The project will continue through December 2012. Student safety will be our priority. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
