School building hours are from 6:30AM - 4:00PM

Attendance Policy

1. Second Class Tardiness - 1 hour detention

2. Uncleared Period Absence - 2 hours detention

3. Two or More Period Absences - Saturday School

4. All Day Uncleared Absence - Automatic Saturday School

 

Campus Rules

1. Food and Drink are not permitted in classroom buildings (Water is ok)

2. Theft or abuse of district, staff, or student property will not be tolerated.

3. Students must identify themselves when asked and follow the directions of school personnel. (Including custodial staff)

4. Students must not be vulgar, obscene, or profane in speaking, acting, or writing.

5. Student affection is limited to hand holding only while on campus.

6. Students are not to bring radios, tape/CD/MP3  players, or electronic games on campus.

 

Classroom Rules

1. Be in assigned seat or location, ready to work when the tardy bell finishes ringing.

2. Bring class materials and completed assignments every day.

3. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

4. Follow the teacher's directions.

Dress Code

The following items of clothing are considered inappropriate/unacceptable for school attire: strapless or tube tops

without wearing a  blouse or jacket, bare midriffs, short-shorts, cutoffs without hems, tattered clothes, undergarments

showing, emblems, lettering or pictures pertaining to drugs, alcohol, sex or profanity; chains, or weapons, no shirt,

 lack of undergarments;  shirts, tops or sweaters unbuttoned below the sternum; bathing suits, unsafe

jewelry or unsafe clothing.  

 

Use of Racial Epithets

Students caught using racial epithets (racial slurs) will face the following consequences:

- First Offense: Student will  be suspended for 5 days.

- Second Offense: The student will be suspended for 5 days and recommended for  alternative school placement.

TUTORING IS FROM 2:50 TO 3:50

Tutoring is a free service for students provided by teachers of Norco High School. These tutorial sessions begin at 2:50PM and are one hour in length. Tutoring classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. The above schedule lists the subject and location of classes tutored. Late busses leave at 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact Mr. Yarbrough in room P-7, or called Norco High School at 736-3241. Free Late Bus.
