•Our Lady Panther wrestlers competed at the CIF State Championships this weekend and placed 3rd out of 220 schools, 5 points shy of repeating as State runner-ups. Nevertheless these ladies battled their way through tough competition and came home with 3 medalists, and 2 top 12 finishes with Abbi Turner and Amara Devericks. Leading the way was State Finalist Caitlin Cardenas who ran through the #2 ranked wrestler and making it to the finals. Another great performance came from Rosie Chang who entered the state tournament unranked and powered her way to a 3rd place finish. Sugey Ceja overcame a 2nd round injury and won 6 uncontested matches in a row to a 3rd place finish and became our very first 4-time State Championship placer for Corona High and the Inland Empire. We are very proud of their performance and thank you for another successful and memorable season.
