The California League of Middle Schools and California League of High Schools "Educator of the Year" award is given annually to 22 educators, representing regions throughout California, who exemplify educational excellence and have made significant efforts to implement elements of educational reform in middle and high schools. Mrs. Fuller was among the 10 state-wide finalists from each region and was honored locally and at the CLS Annual Conference on Friday, February 26, 2016. The next morning, Mrs. Fuller was announced as the CLMS and CLHS State Educator of the Year.

"We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Fuller, she is an outstanding educator and very deserving of this honor," said Dr. Lin, Superintendent. "Jessie has touched the lives of so many students and has made a tremendous impact on them. She exudes enthusiasm, compassion and has a true love for teaching---she is an inspiration and shining example of an incredible educator. We are so very proud of her."

"Jessie Fuller is what every teacher should strive to be. She makes everyone that she comes into contact with a believer in kids," said Joseph Almasy, Principal at Orange Grove High School in Corona. "When she speaks, she does it to instill hope into people that have lost hope. Once she gets them to believe that, the educational lessons can take hold. Her message resonates to every teacher, parent, and person who cares about our future. Without a doubt the best teacher I have ever been around."

Jessie was joined by her family, colleagues, board members, and school administrators when she received the state-wide honor.
