School and Community Partnerships Continue to Grow
CNUSD is grateful for the community and business partnerships established this year through the Adopt-A-School Program. The program allows enhanced communication and understanding between local businesses and schools resulting in an informed community and on-going support for schools.
Most recently, Walmart, located on 6th Street in Corona, has adopted Coronita Elementary as part of CNUSD's Adopt-A-School-Program.
Another recent addition has been the adoption of River Heights Intermediate by Kinematics Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Norco. "Partnerships such as these are really treasured because it gives students a chance to glimpse into the world of work before leaving their schooling. The premise behind these partnerships is to help make real the learning that students are doing in the classroom and see how it will apply to the students' future and their endeavors," said Linda K. White, Assistant to the Superintendent.
