Norco High School AFJROTC Receives High Honor for Community Service
On June 22, 2015, Colonel Bobby C. Woods, Director, United States Air Force, announced Norco High School's United States Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit as one of the units having earned the "Silver Star" Community Service with Excellence Award for AY 2014-2015.
Such honor recognizes the top 5% of all AFJROTC units based on community service in support of schools and local communities. The award is earned by units with the highest per cadet average of community service hours. The units honored were the best of 889 AFJROTC and NDCC units worldwide! That is an amazing accomplishment by Norco High School cadets!
"Congratulations to the AFJROTC on earning the Silver Star Award! The cadets are learning the true value in giving to themselves and others. Thank you to Major Brian Clark and SSgt. David Spratley for their leadership," said Norco High School Principal, Rob Ibbetson.
