Santiago Makes the Daily Beast's List of Top High Schools

On Wednesday, August 27, The Daily Beast website posted its list of "Top High Schools 2014" in the nation and ranked Santiago part of the Top 500 in the nation! With over 40,000 secondary schools in the United States that is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations to the students and staff.

The Daily Beast used six indicators pulled from school surveys to compare public high schools in the U.S., with graduation and college acceptance rates weighed most heavily. Other criteria included: college-level courses and exams, percentage of students with free or reduced lunch, as well as SAT and ACT scores - another mark of how well a school prepares students for college.
