Superintendent Dr. Lin Throws First Pitch at Angels Game

< p>connection Dr. Michael Lin, Superintendent of the Corona-Norco Unified School District threw the honorary first pitch at the Angels vs. Astro game on Friday, May 8, 2015 . That night was “School Employee Appreciation Night,” sponsored by SchoolsFirst Credit Union. SchoolsFirst FCU, formerly Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union, was founded in 1934 by 125 school employees who pooled $1,200 to establish a financial institution to help improve one another’s lives. For more than 80 years, the not-for-profit Credit Union has remained rooted in the philosophy of “people helping people.”

School Employee Appreciation Night” at Angel Stadium was hosted by SchoolsFirst FCU in recognition and appreciation of all school employees. More than 4,000 school employees and their families and friends attended the game on Friday, May 8.

In a pre-game ceremony, school employees were recognized on the field, and Dr. Lin threw out the first pitch of the game. Dr. Lin was selected by Riverside County Office of Education as an outstanding superintendent in the region, and was asked to throw the honorary pitch.

“I am honored to have been selected to represent K-12 schools by throwing out the first pitch at the game,” said Dr. Lin. “This was an exciting and memorable opportunity for our District.”
