Posted on 06/26/2020

Good afternoon CNUSD Families,

I wanted to touch base and let you know we are actively finalizing our 2020-2021 School Opening and Safety Plan, and we look forward to sharing it with our community in next week’s newsletter.

In the 2020-2021 School Opening and Safety Plan you can expect to learn about the District’s:

  1. Safety precautions and procedures as we prepare for student and staff return to campuses;
  2. Our educational options, in detail, of traditional and Virtual School, so each of you will have all the information needed to make the best decision for your students; and
  3. Registration information for all families wanting to choose a Virtual School option for the upcoming school year.

I thank you all for your patience as our staff and Safe Schools Committee put the finishing touches on the 2020 School Opening and Safety Plan which we are excited to share with you all. I want to reassure you the safety of our students and staff has been and will continue to be our number one priority.

I hope you have a safe, restful weekend.

Sincerely,

Michael H. Lin
Superintendent

IMMUNIZATION NOTIFICATION TO PARENTS

Dear CNUSD Families,

The COVID-19 pandemic is a reminder of the importance of protecting children against serious vaccinepreventable diseases, such as whooping cough and measles. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) strongly recommend that parents do not delay seeking
healthcare for their child during the pandemic. The AAP and CDC have developed guidelines for in-person visits, such as for vaccines, to assure safety.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is upholding the immunization requirements for school admission in the 2020-2021 school year. If you have a pre-school, kinder or a 7th grade student (Tdap booster/2nd varicella in addition to all K-6 immunization doses for incoming 7th graders), please contact your child’s primary care provider to determine if he/she is up-to-date with immunizations.

Please upload the immunization document(s) in Parent Connect (Q) before the first day of the 2020-21 school year. Contact the school site to verify that the upload was successful.

How do you submit the immunization documents to the school site? Visit Q Parent Connection

If you need assistance for technical concerns, please email CNUSD IT Department at [email protected] or call the CNUSD Parent Center at (951) 273-3132 (Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) for assistance over the phone. Click here for more information.
