Dual Enrollment Program: High School Students Can Earn College Credit

More options for students to earn college credit

Dual Enrollment is an alternate pathway to success which is meant to support students who are typically don’t see themselves as college-bound. These courses assist students in college enrollment and the exploration of various pathways their school might not offer. These courses are graded on a 4.0 scale, in alignment with the community college’s weighting. Additionally, it provides a seamless transition into community college and financial savings by offering students free classes reducing the time and cost needed to complete a college degree. Course availability may be limited.

AP Courses are meant to support students who are university bound and are looking for an honors-level experience. These courses are college level courses taught by CNUSD teachers. As an added benefit, these courses remain on a 5.0 scale allowing students to boost their GPA.

Dual Enrollment Courses Before, During, and After School
NEW: All dual enrollment courses (before, during, and after school) will be now count as graduation credits.

Class of 2026 and 2027
Dual Enrollment classes will be on a 4.0 scale. Concurrent enrollment* will stay on a 5.0 scale. Seniors who are taking college courses outside of the school day must be enrolled in 5 classes on campus.

Class of 2028 and Beyond
Dual Enrollment classes will be on a 4.0 scale. Concurrent courses change to a 4.0 scale.

*Concurrent enrollment is the opportunity for individual students to take college courses of their choice on a campus outside of the high school day. Concurrent enrollment must have prior administrator approval.

Please note: Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and Honors courses will remain on a 5.0 scale.

General Cost Savings for Dual Enrollment Students

The following Norco College fees are waived for Dual Enrollment students:

Tuition: $46/unit
Student Health Service Fee: $24/term

Other cost saving considerations:

Parking Pass Cost: $50/term
Textbook Cost: Average cost of $185/course
