Congrats to Our Distinguished Schools!

Three CNUSD Schools Named 2025 California Distinguished Schools

SACRAMENTO, CA - Temescal Valley Elementary, Benjamin Franklin Elementary, and Prado View Elementary have been named 2025 California Distinguished Schools—an honor that highlights their dedication to academic excellence and student success.

The California Distinguished Schools program, run by the California Department of Education, celebrates elementary schools that show exceptional performance or significant progress in closing achievement gaps. Schools are evaluated based on key performance indicators like test scores, student engagement, and school climate, as reported on the California School Dashboard.

Earning this recognition is no small feat. Each school must not only meet high standards, but also demonstrate how they are making a difference for all students through innovative programs, strong instruction, and a supportive school environment.

This recognition reflects the hard work of students, the commitment of teachers and staff, and the support of families working together to create thriving school communities. It’s a proud moment for CNUSD—and a well-deserved celebration for these three outstanding schools.
