DALIA GADELMAWLA TAKES THE HELM AS SUPERINTENDENT OF CNUSD, BRINGING VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
NORCO, CA – Today marks the official first day for Dalia Gadelmawla as Superintendent of the Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD). Ms. Gadelmawla was appointed by the CNUSD Board of Education in April to lead the district into its next chapter of academic achievement and innovation.

With over a decade of dedicated service to CNUSD, most recently as Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, and a total of 17 years in public education, Ms. Gadelmawla brings a wealth of expertise in educational leadership, fiscal management, and strategic planning. During her career, she has overseen billion-dollar budgets, led districtwide initiatives to improve student outcomes and operational efficiency, and played a key role in securing funding for major facilities modernization and student support services.
Ms. Gadelmawla holds a bachelor’s degree in business finance from California State University, Northridge, a master’s in public administration from California Baptist University, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University, further deepening her commitment to lifelong learning and service to the CNUSD community.
In her first official statement as Superintendent, Ms. Gadelmawla shared:
“I am deeply honored and grateful to the CNUSD Board of Education and community as I begin this journey as Superintendent. This district has been my professional home for the past ten years, and I am incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together. Today, I step into this role with humility, determination, and an unwavering commitment to serve every student, family, and staff member in our community. I am excited to build upon our district’s strong foundation and lead CNUSD into a future defined by opportunity, equity, and excellence.”
Ms. Gadelmawla is also a proud CNUSD parent, with all three of her children having graduated from district schools. This personal connection has given her a deep, firsthand understanding of the community’s strength, values, and strong commitment to education.
Over the years, Ms. Gadelmawla has earned many awards for her dedication to student success, including CALSA Region 6 Administrator of the Year (2025), CALSA Inland Empire Chapter Administrator of the Year (2025), and ACSA Region XIX Administrator of the Year (2021). Ms. Gadelmawla received her Chief Business Official (CBO) Certification in 2018 and is a sitting board member of the Corona Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Gadelmawla assumes leadership on July 2, 2025. Her focus will be on accelerating progress in student outcomes, fostering inclusive environments, and engaging families and communities as essential partners in education.
