Roosevelt Theater Wins at Orange County 19th Annual Role About Theater Festival

Earlier this month, the ERHS Mustang Theater won the Orange County 19th Annual RoleAbout Theater Festival. The theater department won 1st place in musical theater, 2nd place in musical theater (which has never happened in the history of the Festival), as well as 1st place in Contemporary Comedic Duo Scene. This was the first time the students competed in a massive festival since 2020. 

The competition included 28 other schools, 500 students in various categories. The all-day competition led 16 students to the finals, and after that led 13 students to victory.

"I'm elated about this victory for the students. They have worked so hard, and their dedication to their craft is really more than anything I've seen in the years I have taught," said Mr. Chad Costello, ERHS Mustang Theater Director. "ERHS Mustang Theater will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come, but the most exciting part of it is watching these students become awesome productive members of society and the adults they will become!"
