CNUSD Successfully Completes Federal Program Monitoring Review
The Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) successfully completed the 2024-2025 online Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) review and received no findings. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the dedication and hard work of the CNUSD staff.
Federal and state laws require the California Department of Education (CDE) to monitor implementation of categorical programs operated by local educational agencies (LEAs). LEAs are responsible for creating and maintaining programs which meet minimum fiscal and programmatic requirements.
Last year, the California Department of Education selected CNUSD for review. The review was comprehensive and included the following programs and schools:
Programs:
-
Education Equity
-
English Learner
-
Expanded Learning Programs
-
Federal Stimulus Monitoring
-
Student Support and Academic Enrichment
-
Supporting Effective Instruction
Schools:
-
Centennial High School
-
Home Gardens Academy
-
McKinley Elementary
-
Parkridge Elementary
Since June, the Title team has led multiple trainings and meetings to ensure thorough preparation by program leads and school sites involved in the review.
Preparing for an FPM review is a significant undertaking that requires meticulous attention to detail, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to compliance and best practices. Every department involved played a critical role in ensuring a smooth and successful review, demonstrating collective expertise and commitment to excellence.
A special thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort, their leadership, hard work, and commitment to our District’s mission made this outcome possible. As we take a moment to celebrate this success, we remain dedicated to continuous improvement and ensuring the highest standards of service for our students and community.
