eSTEM Director Kelly Howell Named JCSD Community Member of the Year

Jurupa Community Service District (JCSD) recognized Kelly Howell, Director of the Eastvale STEM Academy at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, as this year’s Community Member of the Year!

Her vision and dedication have helped shape eSTEM into a model of innovation, equity, and opportunity for students pursuing careers in STEM fields.

The eSTEM Academy is a school that offers students rigorous STEM pathways in medical, engineering, and computer science fields. The Academy provides students with hands-on experiences in state-of-the-art labs, opportunities for industry certifications, and access to real-world learning through partnerships with colleges and industry professionals.

Kelly’s commitment to access, collaboration, and partnership ensures that all students can thrive in a supportive, innovative environment. From creating strong community connections, to supporting students in achieving their individual goals, Kelly continues to inspire excellence in every student.
