Lisa Moe began her journey in education as a lifeguard and swim instructor with the City of Corona. Watching young swimmers go from fear to confidence helped her realize that teaching is about more than academics—it’s about trust, belief, and empowerment.
Today, she teaches 6th grade at Philistine Rondo, where she’s completing her eighth year in the classroom and her third year with CNUSD. Moe describes her classroom as a space filled with joy, creativity, and connection—where labels are left at the door and every student’s strengths are celebrated.
A leader in educational technology and STEM, Moe is also a GATE coordinator, professional development trainer, and frequent presenter at ed tech conferences. Her work has been featured on NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, CBS’s Mission: Unstoppable, and she co-hosts the One Voice in Computer Science podcast for the Computer Science Teachers Association.
Moe holds degrees from UCLA (Anthropology), UC Irvine (Master’s in Teaching), and Cal State Fullerton (Master’s in Educational Technology).
Congratulations, Ms. Moe, and thank you for inspiring a generation of learners—both inside and outside the classroom.
