March 2026 Student Recognition

Norco, CA - The Board of Education proudly recognized outstanding elementary students who exemplify leadership, character, and a positive impact on their school communities.

Honorees included:

Adams Elementary:
Josiah Calderon - Josiah is a hard worker and very dedicated in doing his very best in school. He never gives up when challenged and is well-mannered, including assisting his peers when encouraged. 

Lorenzo Shepherd - Lorenzo is an excellent student and gets along well with all of his classmates. He is always eager to help in any situation. 

Anthony Elementary:
Ishaan Bhatt - Ishaan is friendly, respectful, and he interacts positively with both peers and adults, contributing to a supportive classroom environment. He is highly efficient, using class time wisely, and completing assignments with care and accuracy.

Rafay Qazi - Rafay consistently demonstrates skills in a creative way with a deep understanding of all content presented to him. He exhibits exceptional leadership qualities and supports many of his fellow classmates both academically and socially.

Corona Ranch Elementary:
Roman Perez - Roman is one of the hardest working students you’ll ever meet, always putting in his full effort no matter the task. He is kind to everyone around him and treats his classmates with genuine respect and care.

Aaradhya Vijayabalan - Aaradhya is a kind-hearted and confident person who treats everyone with warmth, respect, and genuine care. She carries a bright, positive attitude wherever she goes, always cheering on others and giving 1000% effort to everything she does.

Coronita Elementary:
Aliyah Albarran - Aliyah deserves this award for seamlessly blending academic excellence with a rare, genuine kindness that strengthens our entire school community. By consistently acting as a dependable leader and empathetic friend to all, she serves as a powerful role model whose character is as impressive as her work ethic.

Yamelin Pearson - Yamelin consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication and hard work in class, always putting forth her best effort to achieve outstanding grades. She is respectful and responsible both inside and outside of the classroom, setting a positive example for her peers.

Foothill Elementary:
Abdallah Odeh - Abdallah continues to strive to achieve their best in all academic areas. He is a model student in the classroom as he participates, asks questions, and takes accountability.

Mia Sedberry - Mia is a dedicated and accomplished student who takes pride in her work and academics.

Franklin Elementary:
Walker Reisbig - Walker completes his work on time, takes care of materials, and is trustworthy. He is a good classmate who includes others, helps when needed, and sets a great example of how students should behave in class and around school.

Koral Weyer - Koral is a great student and is very responsible, puts great effort into her classwork, and is a high achiever in all academic areas. She is always following school-wide expectations, never has to be corrected or reminded to follow the rules and shows respect at all times.

Garretson Elementary:
Scarlett Kane - Despite Scarlett facing significant life challenges at a young age, she has shown incredible resilience and maturity. She comes to school each day with a positive attitude, ready to participate, and give her best effort. Challenges have only strengthened her determination to grow academically and personally. Her strong work ethic and eagerness to learn make her a truly inspiring student.

Eisenhower Elementary:
Zachary Villegas - Zachary is an exemplary student. His work is always completed with integrity and critical thinking. The vocabulary he uses in his work is far above a typical fourth grader. In addition to being a hard worker, he has a kind heart and is a friend to all. Zachary is every teacher’s dream student.

Dakota Leet - Dakota was selected for this recognition because she consistently demonstrates a high level of academic achievement through her hard work and determination to always do her best. She is respectful, responsible, and a strong problem solver who models positive behavior and makes thoughtful choices each day.

Jefferson Elementary:
Caleb Blaze Cummins - Caleb is an exceptional student that goes above and beyond to reach his goals. He has learned so much Spanish in the Dual Language Immersion Program that he enjoys participating at every opportunity. 

Yazzlyn Xiomara Sanchez - Yazzlyn is an outstanding student who gives 110% in everything she does. She is kind and respectful to her peers and is always eager to participate in class. Yazzlyn encourages others to join in and never gives up. When an answer is challenging, she tries again with a positive attitude and a big smile.

McKinley Elementary:
Karla Flores Medrano - Karla has earned this award for her academic excellence and being a great role model.

Audrey Laulu - Audrey has earned this award for being an outstanding role model and for consistently demonstrating diligence and persistence in academic achievement.

Orange Elementary:
Elias Dalglish - Elias was selected for this recognition because he consistently demonstrates exceptional academic excellence, strong character, and leadership in the classroom. He is compassionate, responsible, and a positive role model who supports both his peers, students and adults with kindness and integrity.  

Delilah Feher - Delilah is kind and a supportive friend to everyone in class, and she consistently demonstrates thoughtfulness and compassion toward others. She recently shared how much she enjoys spending her recess time helping in Ms. Summer’s class, where she supports special needs students. Ms. Summer expressed how much love and joy Delilah brings into the classroom, and how much the students look forward to seeing her. Her presence truly makes a difference. We are so proud of Delilah and all that she represents. She is incredibly deserving of this recognition.

Temescal Valley Elementary:
Naya Obid - Naya is an incredible gifted student with tremendous work ethic. She works hard at everything she attempts and always tries to push herself to do more.

Keegan Remington - School can be challenging for Keegan, but she approaches each day with the best attitude, work ethic, and mindset; never slacking off or cutting corners, she goes above and beyond in all she does. Keegan was instrumental in the 6th grade girls winning the intramural flag football championship! She is a true Titan and an inspiration to us all!

Todd Elementary:
Kailah Reeves - Kailah is a dedicated learner who is committed to doing her best in all areas and treats others with respect at all times. She is well rounded and is involved in sports as well. 

Kaden Lopez - Kaden is an exemplary student whose tireless work ethic and natural curiosity set a high standard for his peers. He consistently goes above and beyond, seeking out intellectual challenges that extend well outside the classroom walls.

Vicentia Elementary:
Micah Rowland Thorsell - Micah is receiving this recognition for his outstanding academic excellence and exemplary citizenship.

Maleah Elizabeth Thorsell - Maleah always works hard and does their very best in everything they do. She is a proud member of the school band and is kind, responsible, and an all-around awesome student.

Washington Elementary:
Aaron Corvera - Aaron has strong work ethic and a true dedication to learning, consistently putting forth his best effort and growing from any mistakes. He is a model student and a supportive friend to his peers, consistently demonstrating what it means to SOAR at Washington Elementary: Showing citizenship, Owning his behavior, Always being caring and fair, and being Respectful.

Bella Tran - Bella is an amazing student, on task, helpful in class and on campus. As a member of student council, Bella shows outstanding leadership and academic excellence.

Wilson Elementary:
Lena Branch - Lena is an outstanding student who puts excellent effort in all her work. She is a great friend to others and always follows the Wilson Way. She also participated in History Day!  She is a great representative of Wilson Elementary.

Isabella Pulido - Isabella is absolutely the kindest and most hardworking student that there is. Despite her personal challenges, she comes to school and absolutely shows up in every way. We are so incredibly proud of her perseverance.
