Girls’ flag football is a relatively newer addition to CNUSD athletics, introduced in 2023 after the California Interscholastic Federation approved it as an official high school sport. From the beginning, the District embraced the chance to give female athletes more ways to compete, connect, and lead. Schools including Roosevelt, Santiago, Norco, and Centennial have seen strong participation and steady growth in both varsity and junior varsity programs.

In just a short time, girls’ flag football has become a meaningful addition to CNUSD’s athletic landscape. The District’s early commitment helped build thriving teams across several campuses, opening doors for student-athletes to learn, lead, and grow through competition.
