CNUSD Letterman Day

CNUSD Unified Sports Day

Unified Sports Day Unites Students in a Celebration of Inclusion and Achievement!

Cheers, high-fives, and hugs filled the air at the Unified Sports Day, as students from across Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) high schools came together to culminate this year’s Unified Sports tournaments. The crowd cheered as seniors proudly received their letterman patches, marking the end of the year defined by teamwork and inclusion.

Unified Sports brings general education and special education students together as teammates, creating a culture of inclusion while also building compassion and empathy through shared experiences.

This year, CNUSD hosted three Unified Sports tournaments, concluding with the final celebration held at Corona High School on May 2nd. High school students from across the District participated in the event, coming together as one unified community. The celebration closed with seniors receiving their letterman patches representing their respective schools. The atmosphere was filled with joy, pride, and encouragement as students were recognized for their remarkable achievements.

The Special Olympics Unified Sports, launched this year by Matthew Lance, has already made a lasting impact in its inaugural year, transforming campus culture and creating meaningful relationships on and off the field.
